Lazy Bear Lodge -
A Welcoming Bed and Breakfast in North Carolina
We have 5 private guest bedrooms, each with private bath and a
fantastic view. Each bedroom is unique: roomy and furnished with
hand-picked antiques or handmade furniture, comfortable seating,
and gas-fired fireplaces or stoves.
One bedroom with a private porch is located on the first floor.
Four bedrooms are located on the second floor; two with private
porches. At night, after a full day and a great dinner, you might
sit on your porch to watch the sun set, read a book by your own
gas fire, or relax and soak those tired feet in your own jetted
spa. You will be swallowed up at night on fluffy beds with down
pillows and luxurious bedding. Upon waking, enjoy fresh coffee on
the deck or dining room while you prepare for you day.
Each bathroom is extraordinary as well: Jetted spas or clawfoot
tub, large separate showers, and custom vanities. In the first
floor room is a spacious luxurious bath that includes each amenity
previously described and is also designed to accommodate our
guests with limitations (see Black Bear Room Description).

Black Bear
Located on the 1st floor, this room is furnished with
warm rustic handmade cedar furniture, is equipped especially for
guests with limitations but is great for all guests. It has a
large king-sized bed dominated by a large cedar post headboard. A
gas stove warms the sitting area. A sliding door gives access to a
private covered porch that connects to the wide public deck
overlooking the valley. The bathroom is wheelchair accessible.
Visual and audible emergency alarms aid guests in an emergency.

Lost Creek
On the second floor, this room has a queen-sized four poster bed which will swallow you up in luxurious comforters and pillows. A gas stove lights the evening while you watch the sun fall behind the far mountains from your own private porch. After a bubble bath in the jetted spa, grab a butter-soft robe and relax in the rocking chair by the fire.

Mountain View
On the second floor, this antique filled room has large windows overlooking our front garden, and in winter time Moore Mountain. The fluffy king-sized bed has a unique handmade headboard with soft reading lights. Comfortable chairs gather around a warming gas stove. A large bathroom with jetted spa and separate shower complete the room.

Garden View
On the second floor, this room has a view of our front garden, and in winter time, Moore Mountain. The unique headboard over the king-sized bed is complimented by antique Chinese tables and collectables from around the world. The sitting area is gathered around a fireplace with antique mantle. The special large bathroom has a window seat, jetted spa, and separate shower.

Hummingbird
On the second floor, the Hummingbird is our largest room. It has great long-range mountain views from its private porch. This bedroom has two queen-sized beds and can accommodate up to four adults comfortably. A gas fireplace with antique mantle provides that extra intimacy. The large bathroom has a window seat and spacious jetted spa, as well as separate shower.
